What We Do

Mini-Splits & Ductless across SWFL.

Mini-split (ductless) systems are popular in Florida for additions, garage conversions, enclosed lanais, mother-in-law suites, and older homes where running ductwork would be invasive or impossible. Each indoor head is independently controlled, so you can cool just the room you're in. Sage installs Mitsubishi, Daikin, and Fujitsu — the three brands with the best track record in SWFL's humidity.

Signs You Need This

When to call us.

Adding a room or converting a garage

Mini-splits don't require central duct extension — perfect for new space.

One room is always hotter than the rest

Add a single-zone mini-split to that problem room instead of overhauling the whole system.

Enclosing a lanai or sunroom

Standard central AC isn't designed for these spaces. A mini-split is the right tool.

Older home with no ductwork

Some historic SWFL homes never had central AC. Mini-splits give you full coverage without ducts.

Mother-in-law suite or rental unit

Independent temperature control + utility separation, all without disturbing the main system.

Want zone-by-zone control

Multi-head mini-split systems let each room set its own temperature. Better comfort, lower bills.

How It Works

Our process.

01

Free in-home assessment

We look at the space, measure load, and recommend single-zone vs. multi-zone — and which brand fits your needs.

02

Quote + scheduling

Detailed quote with brand options. Most installs scheduled within 1-2 weeks.

03

Install day

Indoor head mounted, outdoor compressor placed, refrigerant lines run, electrical hookup, startup testing — typically one day for single-zone, 1-2 days for multi-zone.

04

Walkthrough

We show you the remote, app (if applicable), filter cleaning routine, and warranty coverage.

Common Questions

The short answers.

How much does a mini-split cost installed?

Single-zone systems typically run $3,500-$5,500 installed. Multi-zone (2-4 heads) ranges $7,000-$15,000+ depending on the brand and complexity.

Are mini-splits efficient?

Yes — most are inverter-driven and ramp up/down rather than cycling. SEER ratings of 18-30+ are common, well above central AC.

How long do they last?

15-20 years with proper maintenance. The compressor is the limiting factor — same as central AC.

Do they handle humidity in Florida?

Yes, with proper sizing. Oversized mini-splits short-cycle and leave humidity high. We size for both cooling load AND dehumidification.

What brands do you install?

Primarily Mitsubishi, Daikin, and Fujitsu — the three with the strongest track record in coastal Florida. We can quote others on request.

Will it work with my existing thermostat?

Mini-splits use their own controllers (remote or wall-mounted). They don't tie into a central thermostat. Each head has its own.
