Indoor Air QualityCleaner air, drier home.

SWFL humidity, pollen, and pet dander turn most homes into allergen factories. UV lights, high-efficiency filtration, and dehumidification turn your AC system into an air-cleaning system.

What We Do

Indoor Air Quality across SWFL.

Florida air is a challenge: high humidity creates mold-friendly conditions, lots of vegetation means heavy pollen, and many homes get sealed up tight to keep cool — trapping irritants inside. Sage installs UV germicidal lights, MERV-rated media filters, whole-home dehumidifiers, and air purification systems that integrate with your existing HVAC. We don't push gadgets — we recommend what actually helps based on what's going on in your home.

Signs You Need This

When to call us.

Persistent allergy symptoms inside the house

Sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes that get worse at home? Your filtration is probably under-spec'd.

Musty smell or visible mold around vents/coils

UV lights kill microbial growth on the coil before it spreads into your ductwork.

Family member with asthma or severe allergies

MERV 11-13 filtration captures pollen, dander, and most dust mite particles.

Humidity feels high even with AC running

Your AC may not be dehumidifying enough. A whole-home dehumidifier solves this without overcooling.

Recently rebuilt after flooding/storm damage

Air quality systems prevent re-establishment of mold and mildew in repaired homes.

Dust returns within days of cleaning

Filtration upgrade can dramatically reduce particle load — less cleaning, healthier air.

How It Works

Our process.

01

In-home consultation

We discuss your concerns (allergies, mold, humidity, pets) and inspect your system.

02

Recommendation

We suggest specific products based on the actual issue — UV light, MERV upgrade, dehumidifier, or a combination. No upsell theater.

03

Install

Most IAQ products install in 1-2 hours into your existing air handler. Whole-home dehumidifiers are a bigger job (half day).

04

Verification

We measure airflow, test the device, and explain maintenance (lamp replacement intervals, filter changes, etc.).

Common Questions

The short answers.

Do UV lights actually work?

Yes — for what they do. UV-C lights mounted near the evaporator coil prevent mold and microbial growth on the coil itself. They don't 'clean the air' in the way some marketing claims.

What MERV rating should I use?

MERV 11-13 is the sweet spot for most SWFL homes — captures pollen, dander, and most fine particles without restricting airflow.

Are whole-home dehumidifiers worth it?

If your home consistently runs above 55% humidity with AC running, yes. Lower indoor humidity means more comfort at higher temperatures, lower mold risk, and less running of the AC compressor.

How often do UV lamps need replacement?

Every 12-24 months depending on the brand. We track this for SageComfort+ members and remind you.

Will these reduce my energy bills?

Indirectly. A clean coil cools more efficiently. Lower indoor humidity means you can set the thermostat a degree or two higher comfortably.

Are these systems noisy?

UV lights are completely silent. Whole-home dehumidifiers have a quiet hum, similar to a refrigerator, located near the air handler.
